Government overreach threatens our economy.

The people do not agree with the actions of the State.

The Mayor of Sandy, OR has expressed distaste for the demands issued.

We have been in a mask mandate for months, and yet, there have been outbreaks over and over across the State. In some places, the mandates have been enforced with zeal.

The problem: there are faces behind those masks. Faces of real people, with real problems, real bills, and real responsibilities.

It's time for people to see those faces.

There was already an event scheduled this coming weekend. That event has turned into more.

Why? Because the actions of the State have hit home yet again. Members of my team across the State, already struggling because of previous closures, have suddenly found themselves out of work again. They, and their coworkers, have no recourse when their employers inevitably shut down.

This is the cost of overreach: our economy.

The people depend on our economy to pay for their homes and hobbies. They depend on our economy so that they can give to charities and churches. They depend on our economy to be philanthropic to those in need.

Rule number one for giving help is to help yourself first. If you're in need, you can't help anyone else.

This is why our economy is so important.

This is why everyone is important to our economy.

This is why everyone is essential.

This is why YOU are essential.

I mentioned that it was time to see those essential faces.

Stay tuned. I intend to show them to you.

As for the event...

You are invited. Please let us know you're coming.
