"If you only look at the surface of the pond, you will not see the fish in the pond: knowledge gained by effort yields wisdom." - R. Leon Noble circa 2020.

Have you ever noticed that people resist change without knowing what the change is about?
Here's an example: Road Construction
We all see the sign saying the lane is closed up ahead, but we stall to change lanes until the last possible second. Nevermind that we won't gain any distance when we get to that point because we'll be stuck behind the same rubbernecking RV (yeah, that's probably me) that's two miles ahead and already in the lane closure.
However...
We still resist.
It is said that change is the only constant. This statement is made by scientists the world over and has been repeated decade after decade. It is a saying that was created to explain what our world really is about.
As I moved to the coast about six years ago, I went for a walk on the beach for the first time that I could remember. I noticed as I walked across the beach, that when I returned just a few minutes later, my footsteps were gone. It only took a couple of minutes for my presence to be completely eliminated by nature itself.
The same is true for our political landscape. With a business (or a life) if you're not
growing you're dying. with government, it's the other way around; a growing government stifles growth. To combat this, change is required.
I noticed that this past Presidential Election cycle had a lot of people that never saw the fish in the pond. our media created ways to justify only looking at the surface. We saw this with the active suppression of other candidates and the constant nitpicking of small things that made the fish never get seen.
Right now, the political landscape in our State, the State of Oregon, is conflict and derision. The conflict has been marked by the departure of Legislators to deny a quorum, the recent recall attempts, and protests, which were punctuated by rioting.
Change is the only constant. Our world, politics, economy, and daily life is in constant flux. It's time to look at things in a different manner and try new approaches.
I encourage you to reach out and tell me the issues that are important to you and to explore my platform; see the fish in the pond and look beyond the surface.
I will be spending the future years getting acquainted with the people. We will be holding events across the State, many of which will just be for fun.
This is for your benefit. You're tired of being cooped up and need to give the moon a howl. Me too.
In the course of this campaign, I am going to give you reasons to vote for me. I will not be discussing the opposition candidates, nor will my campaign, though individuals may decide to do so. My platform and candidacy are not dependent on opposition.
I will be targeting issues relating to the Safety and Security of the individuals in Oregon.
I will address individual liberties, equality, and equity in our various communities. I will constantly discuss how our TEKS (Time, Effort, Knowledge, and Skill) is our tool for a better economy.
I intend to lead; leaders focus on solutions, not obstacles.
I am change: positive change for Oregon.
